Experience the Power of ABA Therapy With Amigo Care
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the most widely used and trusted behavioral therapy for children with autism. At Amigo Care, we recognize that access to quality care isn’t equal for every family. Children from lower-income backgrounds, as well as Black, Latinx, and other historically underserved communities, often face additional barriers to care—including fewer culturally competent providers, language differences, and systemic biases—that can make early intervention difficult.
Our approach is designed to remove these barriers while delivering effective, personalized therapy:
Culturally informed care
Therapists are trained to understand and respect your family’s cultural values, beliefs, and communication styles.
Family-centered approach
Parents and caregivers are active partners in therapy, learning strategies to support skill-building in the home.
Consistent, trusted care
Our clinicians are dedicated to building long-term relationships with your child and family, reducing disruptions and increasing engagement.
What to Expect from Home-Based ABA Therapy
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the most widely used and trusted therapy for children with autism. At Amigo, our BCBAs receive extensive training not only in evidence-based ABA practices but also in culturally informed care. Through strong mentorship pipelines and structured internal training, our clinicians are prepared to deliver therapy that respects your household’s values, routines, and cultural preferences.
Therapy is delivered one-on-one, with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) working directly with your child. We adapt proven ABA strategies around your child’s unique needs and household routines. Some moments might be structured learning at a table or on the floor, while others happen naturally in the spaces your child lives and plays, such as the kitchen, bedroom, or family room. Every session is guided by your child’s personalized plan, aiming to teach real-life skills that integrate smoothly into daily life.
Our approach is built on three principles:
- Respect & boundaries: Our therapists honor your child’s comfort and boundaries while gently encouraging growth.
- Family inclusion: Parents, siblings, and extended family are invited to participate whenever possible. Children progress faster when those around them understand how to support learning.
- Individualized care: Each child and family is unique. Therapy goals, strategies, and activities are tailored to fit your child’s needs and respect your household’s values.

Meet the Founder — Your Partner in Trusted Care
After seven years at the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) at Kennedy Krieger Institute, I became a home-based BCBA, traveling across Maryland to deliver care directly to families. What I saw changed everything: families navigating complex systems alone, clinicians stretched too thin, and unable to meet the cultural, linguistic, or individual needs of the children they served.
In 2022, I launched Amigo Care—a BCBA-led organization providing evidence-based, culturally-informed ABA therapy. Together, we’re creating a space where all families can feel understood and empowered to help their children thrive.
