ABA Therapy for Latino Families
In-Home ABA Therapy for Latino Families
The only ABA program in Maryland with a dedicated Hispanic Division.
Maryland’s Only Hispanic Division in ABA
Autism is just as prevalent across all communities, and early intervention is critical for long-term success. Yet, Latino children in the United States are often overlooked, face delayed diagnoses, and have limited access to autism services.
At Amigo Care, we know Latino families deserve timely access to culturally responsive and effective care. More than just translated therapy, you deserve ABA built around your language, values, and culture. That’s why we created the only Hispanic Division in Maryland, dedicated exclusively to serving Latino and Spanish-speaking families.
What Makes Our Hispanic Division Unique
Fully bilingual team at every level
We currently have 40+ bilingual Behavior Technicians and 5+ Latino BCBAs, all based here in Maryland. Families can communicate in Spanish with intake coordinators, therapists, and supervisors - you’ll never have to “translate” your concerns.
Bilingual leadership
Our leadership team includes bilingual BCBAs and staff who shape company strategy and clinical care with the Latino community at the center. Decisions here are made by people who understand your culture and your child’s needs.
Growing the pipeline
We know there’s a statewide shortage of bilingual BCBAs. That’s why Amigo Care is actively training and supporting the next generation through our internal pipeline programs, so more Latino families can have access to bilingual clinical leaders in the years ahead.
Culturally rooted therapy
Care is delivered in ways that honor your family’s values and traditions, making therapy feel natural, familiar, and effective.
Advocacy and partnerships
Amigo Care is active beyond therapy. We co-lead the Latino Parent Support Group with the Autism Society of Maryland, and we’re part of statewide initiatives like the Maryland Equity Coalition, building a stronger voice for Latino families.
Community connection
Beyond sessions, we connect families with resources, support groups, and a network of parents who understand your journey — so you never walk it alone.

Meet the Founder
After seven years at the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) at Kennedy Krieger Institute, I became a home-based BCBA to deliver care directly to families. During that time, I witnessed a gap I couldn’t ignore: Spanish-speaking families struggling to access consistent care, sharing stories of children cycling through overworked clinicians and ABA centers that didn’t meet their needs.
This experience inspired me, and in 2022, I launched Amigo Care, a BCBA-led organization providing evidence-based, culturally informed ABA therapy. Together, we’re building trusted, consistent care for all children who need it.
I previously served on the Board of Directors for the Autism Society of Maryland (AUSOM), and I continue to co-lead its Latino Parent Support Group, a space where families can connect, share, and grow together.
What to Expect from Home-Based ABA Therapy With Amigo Care
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the most widely used and trusted therapy for children with autism. At Amigo, our BCBAs are trained not only in evidence-based ABA practices but also in culturally informed care. We understand that many Latino families face barriers to services, and that’s why we offer therapy in both English and Spanish—meeting you where you are most comfortable.
We adapt proven ABA strategies around your child’s unique needs and household routines. Some moments might be structured learning at a table or on the floor, while others happen naturally in the spaces your child lives and plays, such as the kitchen, bedroom, or family room. Every session is guided by your child’s personalized plan and your family’s cultural values, aiming to teach real-life skills that fit seamlessly into daily life.
Our approach is built on three principles:
- Respect & boundaries: Our therapists honor your child’s comfort and boundaries while gently encouraging growth.
- Family inclusion: Parents, siblings, and extended family are invited to participate whenever possible. Children progress faster when those around them understand how to support learning.
- Individualized care: Each child and family is unique. Therapy goals, strategies, and activities are tailored to fit your child’s needs and respect your household’s values.
